Applying for Classes

For Truman Early College Programs, the application procedure for your course varies depending on the kind of course you are taking. Please refer to the two categories below.

Category 1: Are you taking an online course or a class on the Truman campus?

Great! You will be applying to Truman as a non-degree seeking student. When you do, you will need to complete the Application for Non-Degree Seeking Students. Make sure you upload a copy/scan of your high school transcript when applying or have your school email a copy/scan to institute@truman.edu. You will get a follow-up email from the Institute for Academic Outreach with additional information when both the application and transcripts have been processed.

Category 2: Are you taking a dual credit or dual enrollment course organized by your school?

These include:

  • Dual Credit Calculus (Smithville High School or Kirksville High School)
  • Competency-Based Mathematics (CBM) (College Algebra, Plane Trigonometry, or Precalculus)

For these courses your high school teacher will provide you specific instructions on the program registration process. To read more, click on one of the links below.
